Remit: To help Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club to organise and publicise a shoot with Lord Lichfield at Shugborough Hall when he would unveil the prize of a Jaguar XK8 Coupe for a charity raffle. Media coverage needed to be secured on a national and local level.
Method: This was the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club 20th anniversary, which provided us with the initial angle. We also emphasised the fact that the raffle was national, and provided the online link for the raffle at the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club. We stressed the charity angle, that money was being raised for the Norman Laud Association, a charity that provides nursery facilities and respite care for children and young adults with special needs. The press release discussed how the charity was in urgent need of two specialised minibuses to transport children on day trips, and that the winner would be drawn at the International Classic Car Show at the NEC, Birmingham. We provided images of the car and specifics such as the vehicle reaching a top speed of 155mph and doing 0 to 60mph in 6.1 seconds. Painted sapphire blue with classic ivory leather interior and walnut trim and powered by a 4 litre, 32 valve, V8 engine that develops 290 brake horse power. We also emphasised the fact that the Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club is the world’s second biggest single-make car club. Lord Lichfield agreed to provide a quote endorsing the raffle.
Results: Jaguar Enthusiasts’ Club delighted with organisation of photo shoot and resulting media coverage
